I am a…

Wife, Mother, Teacher, Entrepreneur, Self-Taught Artist, & Lover of Plants

Hi, I’m Candace, the face behind Willow Creek Farm Boutique. I have always been a creative person. Sitting still is not something I naturally do. However, if you do find me sitting still it's only because I have a book in my hands, and my story has taken me to a far away place on a grand adventure. The things that inspire, and that I love are my family, Jesus, arts, books, plants, and our family pets… Maybe not always in that order, but hey somethings bring you peace while others can drive you a bit crazy at times. If you are a mother you can understand where I am coming from. Not only do I have a passion to create, but to teach what I know to others. With all that in mind, I wanted to share my love of creating with others. For the love of crafting, and learning different art skills I graduated college to be an art teacher, and I love teaching and inspiring others. It brings me so much happiness to see people proud of themselves when they create something they didn’t think possible.

As an artist myself my passion is to work with fiber arts, but you will see many different mediums in the shop that I work with, because I cannot choose just one. I will just go from one thing to the next just to see if I can make it. Embroidery however is one of my favorites, and I incorporate it into many different products. As my passion grew with teaching, so did the passion to share what I created with others, and to teach even more people that wanted to learn. The hobby of just creating soon became my small business passion of sharing what I know and do with others.

How does one choose a name for their business? If you haven’t done it before it's a little intimidating. My love for nature rooted first with deciding on Willow because my favorite tree is a Willow tree. Willow trees are beautiful and elegant, and with their ability to regrow when cut down it became the perfect symbol as my brand of regrowth to keep trying to survive to better oneself with each trail. The farm is well from my childhood as well as for my love of plants and animals being raised on a farm. With all that in mind Willow Creek Farm Boutique was created in 2024, and continues to grow, finding connections with others, and trying to make a positive impact through both work and teaching others.
